Is a Sony Playstation 3D monitor good enough to handle next-gen games?

I've been thinking about getting a Series S, but I'm not sure if i definitely need a new monitor to have decent or just good enough visuals.

The Playstation 3D Display is a 1080p screen, so you're not going to get the 4K capabilities that the latest consoles offer but 1080p60 is possible. If you're getting the Series S then it's a good match, since it's aimed at that same 1080p60 spec.

Game consoles are made to play on any TV in stock.

The Only difference between a TV and a Dedicated Monitor, is that the Monitor did not have Speakers.  And the Monitor had less to it, in the olden days.

Now, specially designated Monitors have Selling points. , usually in the refresh rates which may be easier on the Eyes, or Better quality Speakers installed in the case.
