I'd suggest this may well be because we seem to have vaccination available any day soon.    I also think people, coming out of another lockdown (England) just need to get out.   Thirdly, it is the time of year when people have a need to buy gifts for others.   And then there's shopping for festive food - before it all runs out.

People who do have friends and family want to shop for them at this time of year.
