Did AG Barr just admit there was election fraud?

“To date, we have not seen fraud

on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election

,” Barr told the AP.

Fraud will always be with us. Imagine how many kids "helped" Mom fill out her ballot.

Well, after every election, there are always a handful of individuals who are discovered to have done something dishonest or by mistake. Just recently, a Republican who lied and cast a vote for his dead mother got arrested, proving that the election system is pretty robust. But, the fraud amounts to a handful of votes. That's what Barr meant.

There are always minor instances. Like this Trump supporter who wanted to vote for his dead mother.

NO ONE disputes that election fraud exists.  The question is how much.  Every election cycle there are a small handful of people who get caught, charged, and convicted of vote fraud.

But they are generally TINY numbers.  The claim for years has been that there is no proof of WIDESPREAD voter fraud.  That key word gets lost alot.  I've done it myself, forgetting to put that in there.  But it's critical.  To say there is NO voter fraud would only require someone to find ONE PERSON in an election who tried to commit fraud in order to disprove it.

Barr is saying it exactly right.  The caveat in the sentence in no way is sensational.  Barr is saying that the President's narrative, that he lost due to fraud widespread enough to account for the TENS OF THOUSANDS of votes he lost by in the key swing states is incorrect.

    Not really.

It is common for there to be irregularities in all election, usually a very small percentage, less than a half of one percent.

Barr is saying they have seen no widespread, massive fraud the likes of what Trump is claiming.

Conservatives commit fraud in every election. Including this one.
