Calor gas fire help ?

Bought a second hand calor gas fire.

The middle radiant is not working properly, flame keep flicker over it. The other two work fine. The middle one has to be on all the time but I’m thinking if I can swap the radiants over and then I’ll be able to use it on low and medium.

My question is, how can I do this as nothing found online and secondly, could this leave carbon monoxide into the house?

Thanks

No, it won't be safe. The gas engineer disconnected my gas fire and stuck a 'danger do not use' label on it, when he found that same fault. The fire was too old to be able to order new radiants.

Husband said No you can't do it yourself it needs a calor gas specialist. And yes you do need some air in the room, slightly open door or window.

    U.K.
