Will contact cement bond rubber (tire tread) to bottom of shoes/slippers?

I am just wondering, will contact cement bond rubber (tire tread) to bottom of shoes/slippers?

    Yes. There's a special type of adhesive called shoe goo available at some hardware stores. It's the same as used by shoe factories. When I've done DIY shoemaking I've used contact cement. Whichever you use follow the instructions on the glue label or package. Contact cement must be allowed to cure before the two surfaces can be attached. Wet contact cement does not adhere. Also you get one chance with contact cement, dry fit once and then be sure everything is lined up when adhering the surfaces.  Learning that one the hard way myself.

     I'd  use  SILICONE      Easily available,   bonds  almost anything, great  strengh
