What if an asteroid is bound to hit the Earth in 2021?

at this point, I'd almost welcome it. they keep airing the movie 2012 and for some odd reason, it never gets old.

Asteroids hit earth fairly regularly. Nearly all cause no damage. Those that are large enough to cause damage, typically do not create huge amounts of damage and are not extinction level events. Assuming these are the asteroids to which you refer, they would not be a big deal.

If an asteroid large enough to cause an extinction-level event were to hit earth in 2021, then some would say 2021 would be worse than 2020 because of the devastation. Others would claim it is time for earth to heal, so, a good thing to happen.
