gueinea pig cages?

Question

why are they so expensive it cost more to buy a cage than to buy the Guinea pig ,food,toys,treats etc. i cant have a c&c cage of anything with no top (i want something that the top opens tho) i was leaning more towards a rabbit hutch but keeping it inside but those are even more expensive. im a terrible builder so i doubt i could put one together if i had the most detail instructions. so is there any place that sells hutches that arent more than 50 bucks and the right size i know im kinda cheap but w.e

You can check on kijiji if you are in Canada for cheaper rabbit cages or guinea pig cages. But if you can’t find any sites for buy and sell than you gotta go to the pet store. Petsmart has good priced cages

You can make c&c cages with tops that open. Alternatively you can use wire closet shelving and it would probably be easier to make a lid with that.
