What does this Follow Up Mean?

I sent a producer footage and he said he liked it but to follow up with him when things get better. Should I take that as good news?

Yes. It's very good news. They want to hear from you again. If they didn't want you they would have said they would call you in anything opens up-which is producer speak for not interested. Or you o oils have heard absolutely nothing.  Keep the number handy and occasionally check back. If I were you I would touch base in about a month. I believe a lot of shows begin serious casting in March for summer programming.
