Can I wear swim trunks under my poncho at Niagara Falls?

Question

I'm going up there on Memorial Day weekend 2021. I'll be staying at a motel so I can change into said trunks and a swim shirt, then return and change back into my dry clothes. I'm riding on Hornblower Cruises and I'll be walking at the Cave of the Winds walk ways, and you get wet doing both things.

Your Memorial Day is our Remembrance Day.  Do you know how cold it can get in Ontario in November?  You'd freeze!

You could.          The questions becomes WHY do it? Millions have successfully done it with clothes on that soon dry.
