Why don't they offer higher power supplies for gaming laptops?

Update:

I know they can easily get better performance with higher wattage power supplys

    weight and cost.  the battery is a significant part of the weight of the finished laptop, as well as a good part of the cost

    Because all the power that goes in must come out as waste heat - and there is a limit to the heat that can be dissipated and exhausted from a laptop-size casing without some parts getting too hot for safety.

    Use eg. an 800W PSU and matching parts in a laptop casing and the exhaust would be as hot as a paint-stripping heat gun!
