What are the odds my obese Grandmother has diabetes? ?
My Grandmother is 80 years old, is at least 300 pounds, and hates going to the doctor. Not only this but due to over feeding She's even given Her dogs diabetes! Recently, She mysteriously fell breaking Her leg. We think She passed out from dehydration. However, because She is so fat I have a suspicion She probably has diabetes.

She might, but if she won't see a doctor, there's nothing you can do about it.
She's reached the age of 80, though, without developing the usual complications apparently, so chances are she doesn't have it.
But if she does have it and dies of it, well, 80 is a decent age to live to.

The only symptom of type 2 diabetes you mentioned is being over weight. People can get type 2 when they are not over weight.
Many fat people do not have diabetes.
You won't know unless she goes to a doctor.
