Error message: failed to connect bad password?

Just bought a bran new Lenovo chromebook and on start up it asked for password. I put it in several times and kept getting this message:

network connection error failed to connect to network bad password. 

I turned off the chrome book and switched off my internet. Left it a few minutes. Turned it back on and the problem is continuing. 

Help 

Update:

I do enter the password and that's when I get the message and I did restart both.

    Make sure you  enter password in  your network not somebody's else.

    Restart Chromebook,restart router
