Why does a tooth abscess stop hurting when taking amoxicillin?

I have a tooth abscess and it hurt but 4 days into amoxicillin pain went away the only thing I fill is pressure under the tooth the small pocket is still there but absolutely no pain is this a good sign

Good sign as the antibiotics have killed the infection.
