Have tooth abscess 4 days I to amoxicillin 3 times a day pain went away tooth does not hurt but small pocket still under tooth?

I had a marble size pocket at the bottom gum under the tooth was hurting started taking amoxicillin 4 days later I woke up this morning no pain tooth does not even hurt when I tap it but I notice the small pocket I can still fill will the pocket go away ? Also why did the pain stop is that a good sign ? No swelling
