If I have a NC virtual office nexus but I sell digital animation services to mostly out of state customers am I exempt from NC sales tax?

Usually exemption applies only if you are a not for profit organization.  Otherwise sales & use tax applies either the state you are in or the where you are shipping to.  I recommend getting a CPA.
