Most Americans now use a fake Christmas tree.Does that mean that Christmas doesn't feel important to them anymore like it used to?

Update:

We used to take pride in getting a Christmas tree thats real. Now we dont even decorate the tree together.

The fake trees can last like 10 years and are less of a hassle.

It’s just better for the environment to use fake trees. How is cutting down a bunch of trees good for the earth. What about disposal. Most people dump it in the dumpster or throw it in the backyard.

A tree does more good when it’s planted in the ground, filtering dirty air, and releasing oxygen into the air.

It’s also more convenient. It’s a lot of trouble to bring a 10+ feet tree home in an ordinary size car. Then there’s the bringing it up into the home. If you live in an apartment, it’s a lot of trouble to use the stairs.

It’s still important to people but the convenience is much better.

No.  It is a practical matter.  Plastic trees are realistic and last for years.  Live trees are fire risks and have to be disposed of every year.
