Can anyone suggest apartments that deal with 1 past evictions in the Atlanta area?

The time to "deal with" a past eviction was BEFORE you were evicted.  You are stuck with it.  Your record will outlive you.

Try individually owned apartments rather than large complexes

They all potentially will, the trick is to be upfront about it and show proof how you have resolved the debt with the landlord in addition to presenting yourself as a worthy tenant today rather than who you were when you received the eviction.  Don't forget the idea of offering a much higher than normal security deposit to ease their concerns you might become a deadbeat tenant again.  Good Luck.

There probably arent any. Why should a landlord rent to someone with 1 past eviction when they probably have plenty of applicants with 0 past evictions. You may have to look for a landlord that is brand new or is having major problems renting out their places (ie worse neighborhoods).  Either that or stay with a friend.
