Did any Jewish Rabbi ever explain why God permitted the Nazis to brutally murder 6 million Jewish people (including women & children) ?

During the holocaust 1939 - 1945

Yes, many have. It is all about free will. God gave us the power to choose right from wrong. And God uses divine intervention in every choice people make, whether good or evil. In other words, there is a divine plan and intervening done by God for every situation, whether good or bad. God is not pleased and is disgusted and angry at the holocaust, so he has done things to intervene. Examples include sending these Jewish souls to heaven, helping us to establish a Jewish state, punishing of Nazi war criminals, a symbol to the rest of the world of Jewish holiness and the holiness and righteousness of Jews and Judaism, giving Jews a stronger Jewish identity and connection to each other and sense of pride in their beliefs, etc.

Moral of the story- God has divine plans for us, and good blessings in these plans if we follow his commandments (The Torah promises these blessings in Deuteronomy), even if it is hard to see at certain hard times of our lives.

    Peace and blessings to you.

P.S. I want to give an example from The Torah in Shmot or Exodus regarding Israel being freed from Egypt. God allowed the suffering of Israel by the hands of cruel and ruthless Pharaoh for hundreds of years. But we were eventually freed, and afterward The Torah was given to The Jewish people, and we formed a Brit or covenant forever and ever with God. So without Jews being slaves in Egypt as part of the divine plan of God, we wouldn't have the meaningful Judaism and connection we have with God today. Point? Sometimes the righteous suffer, all with good things to come.

I will also add that sometimes the suffering of the righteous according to Jewish tradition, and even their death as martyrs, brings blessings to the world. As hard as it is for people to see, one blessing after the terrible holocaust was Israel being occupied and rules by Jews, something never dreamed of for thousands of years. King David, for instance, suffered at the hands of his enemies most of his life. But he was blessed and had a wonderful life overall because he followed God's commandments. And him, like other martyrs who do good, lead others to do good and repent from their sins, causing those individuals to be blessed. Peace again.

There is no god.  If there was and things like that were just "allowed to happen" - then god is a sociopathic piece of crap.

Jewish Rabbis? As opposed to what, Catholic rabbis?

  • If they did, it was probably more crap about how humans are made to suffer.
