No they did not, the closest thing to iPhone were blackberries and widows phones which were aimed at business use. iPhones took the features of these to the consumer space while at the same time gong to all touchscreen.

Yeah aliens in a parallel universe already invented them billions of years ago. Humans are just now starting to create them and the humanoid-made iPhones are far worse and not secure because they have backdoors in the operating systems and hardware so governments can access your data without your permission.
