Please help! What does 'splendor' refer to in this context?
"The bride, Connie Corleone, sat in splendor at a special raised table with her groom, the maid of honor, bridesmaids and ushers. It was a rustic setting in the old Italian style."
Is splendor her referring to the bride herself because she's looking more beautiful or is it referring to where she's seated, the table that is?

It's just referring to the table- that she is elevated above the others, by being at this special table. It doesn't say anything about her appearance.

the same thing splendor usually means, some sort of magnificence in appearance.

It implies she is regal, the focus of all attention, as this is her special day. In the sense she is the reason everyone else is here. For the wedding.
