Normally if you have your foundation much lighter it can make you look grey? But...?

In TV shows and movies how do they make vampires look a lot lighter without them look grey?

Would they use foundation... or some sort of professional face paint on them????

There are professional makeups that have far more pigment and come in far more colours than what the average person uses.
