Some people either do not like to smile or maybe they are having a bad day. People are not required to smile.

I have been to London several times and have ALWAYS been treated with respect and great friendliness by ALL I met.

Not the 3 times I was there. They were extremely pleasant. One guy saw us looking at the maps on the tube for where to get off. He asked us where we were going and got off with us to make sure we got out of the Tube at the right place.
