Why did Michael Flynn plead guilty in a court of law TWICE, if he was innocent of crimes like Donald Trump claims?

Flynn's guilty plea was a bargain made with prosecutors so he wouldn't face charges for his far more serious crime of accepting $500,000 from Turkey to help them achieve their goals in the US.  Flynn was actually working as an undeclared paid agent for a foreign government while also working as a paid advisor to Trump.

Flynn isn't innocent.  Trump is a liar.  Flynn will be called as a witness, probably hostile, during Trump's trials.
