Does having no friends decrease your self confidence?

I’m starting to realise at 21 with only very few close friends, I have a self esteem problem and an anxiety problem. I see a lot of people my age who have a lot of friends and are never alone have great self confidence.

not at all, others do not determine your self worth, self worth comes from within.

i don't think self confidnce should depend on others. who tells you that when you look at others you are objective? most likely you see in others what you wishes for.

some people are happy with not many friends. Other people like a lot of friends.
