Starting in 2021 the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act of 2017 raises taxes on everyone except the very wealthy. Why was the Act designed this way?

When Republicans drafted this bill they included language which delayed tax increases until 2021. Why did they design the law this way?

    So the blame would hit the incumbent Dem if they lost the White House.  If they had won president again, they could have fixed it and put it off another four years.

    I guarantee it isn't a coincidence and it wasn't an accident.

    Fel Monkey:    trump wanted to give tax cuts to his wealthy friends.  These tax cuts went to the wealthy 1%.

    My taxes went down and we’re not considered wealthy by us and our neighbors. We do however live close (2-3 miles to the north of us) to people that live in million dollar homes
