Most of the slaves were shipped by the  Portuguese, and about 40% of all the slaves involved in the Atlantic trade went to  Portuguese colonies mainly Brazil.  Most of the slaves were captives either from war or raids carried on by local kings.

A number of the Ships Captains sailing the Moorish slavers were of European origin, especially Irish Captains.   In addition, the transatlantic slave trade was controlled by a cartel of Irish Sea Captains.  As partners in the trade, the Arab slavers and Irish seamen would have had no reason to go to war with one another.

The Ottoman Empire and it's affiliate states were net consumers of slaves.  They were preying on European shipping and enslaving people they caught or ransoming them back. They weren't a great source for slaves.

The sub saharan African states had a well developed internal slave trade which it was easy for Europeans to plug themselves into.  They also had essentially unlimited supplies of new slaves.

The shippers involved were Spanish, English, French and Dutch for the most part.  Africa was a supplier, not a shipper.
