How do you charge a corporation with a crime?🤔?

PURDUE has pleaded guilty to oxycontin addiction by Americans.

Ordered to pay 8 billion. Which they will pay less.

The owners don't have to admit guilt nor face any jail time.

The Sackler family.

How many families has this family DESTROYED through addiction.....🤔

Is this justice served?

Are they not drug kingpins and eligible for prosecution under the RICO laws?👁️

You can report them to the FTC, the BBB, or the Consumer Protection Agency.  However, the worst thing that you can do is expose their crimes to the general public (aka their customers).  Yelp is a good place to do this.

How do you put a corporation in jail?  You do know how corporate liability works, right?

Purdue should be treated as if they were Heroin dealers with everyone from the kingpin down to the street dealers charged with narcotics distribution followed by the same jail sentences Heroin dealers get. Prosecutors should invoke the RICO act the same as they do Drug Cartels.

because the government wants the money and not the time.  same reason why politicians and celebrities barely get any jail time.

Because a corporation is it's own legal entity, and the owners are not connected legally in that way.

    Occasionally CEOs go to jail

    Otherwise the business is fined

    The shareholders lose out
