Can pecan trees be trained or pruned to remain smallish and still produce nuts? ?

I love pecans but don't have space for one. I was wondering if I could grow one or two (for pollination) in large containers of at least 20 gal and prune them to stay under 15 ft. Has anyone tried this?

Most trees can be trained but it will effect the production and you must be very experienced to know what to prune to prevent total failure
