Should a high-schooler get an after school job to save for college?
I am 15 and my mom wants me to get an after-school job because she said I will be all on my own when I go to college. I am only a sophomore and I’m afraid working after school will affect my studies.

Yes. This is the right answer. You can find time. Let everything not affect your studies since everything is from hard work from your efforts. You have to be smart. You can have everything done.

It's a good idea and it's never too early to start saving money for college. You'll also get some experience about holding a job and being in the workplace.
But your studies must come first.

You can actually do both, work and keep up with your studies. Many of us did just that in high school and college.
My advice, do your first 2 years at a community college, much less expensive.
