From your point of view how can organizations achieve economic growth without damaging the environment for future generations? ?

    They can develop products, production methods, processes and practices that are environmentally friendly, they can use recycled materials and renewable energy, ensure that their raw materials are responsibly sourced and require their suppliers to behave ethically.

    I agree with Matt but said organizations will not prosper unless either the majority of buyers do business with these types of organizations OR government regulation mandates these practices. 

    The reason is because organizations that ignore environmental sustainability tend to have a lower production cost thus their products are more competitive in the market, which will inevitably draw in the consumers, putting the environmentally friendly companies out of business. 

     

    Government can force environmentally friendly regulations or the consumer can decide to do business with environmentally friendly organizations. 

    Honestly, gov. regulation is the only realistic solution. Most consumers don't have the luxury, time or education to make an environmentally informed decision when shopping.
