Is leaving the UK the best thing the Republic of Ireland ever did for themselves?

According to this index, Republic of Irelands citizens are on average per person, wealthier than that of UK citizens, and are considered the third most developed country in the world, well above the UK.

Even without economic prosperity the Irish had to get their independence as the English treated them so badly. So when there was a Famine the English were exporting food from Ireland that the Irish couldn't afford to buy!

The recent prosperity has been good but isn't essential as freedom and self determination are more important. 

The prosperity is a bit fake because it is mainly due to so many multinationals setting up in Ireland for tax reasons. Apple Europe, Microsoft Europe, Google Europe, Pfizer Europe all claim their profits are made in Ireland and pay low taxes. (This is really a lie, for example pure Viagra is made in England, apparently at zero profit, sent to Ireland to be made into pills and packaged and suddenly worth millions!)(Google Europe sales team is in London where all the advertising companies are located, but their sales are recorded as being in Dublin.)

Also with Brexit the rest of Great Britain is going down the pan. Boris is as much an idiot as Trump. It's a lot better to stay in Europe!
