Is my toe broken?

I dropped a very heavy fiestaware bowl on my bare foot yesterday.. it hurt very bad I felt nauseous immediately after and felt like I was going to pass out.. it took the nail polish right off of my toe and now my toe has been throbbing ever since and occasionally I have a very sharp shooting pain... is it broken? Should I go to the doctor or is there nothing that can be done? Ibuprofen does not seem to help the pain at all.. thank you! Sorry for the gross photo..

There is a subunginal hematoma, blood under the nail, which will fill better drained. Only an X-ray will tell if it’s broken, but the treatment is buddy taping regardless.
