Do teams not want to sign Colin Kaepernick because they want to tank?
People keep saying he's bad. But, he's no worse than anything the Bears Cowboys Bengals or Patriots are trotting out there.
umm then Blaine Gabbert was benched for him.

Jay Cutler is retired. Teams don't reach out to him because he doesn't want to play and isn't actively trying to.

Literally nothing you said was true.

`If he is just as bad as the stuff they are putting out there they should stick with that.Kap was 3-16 in his last 19 games as a starter on the downside of his career. His antics like it or not were part of the problem NFL tv rateings went down. Now with tv rateings very low they will not sign this guy even if he offered to play for free.

Kap is feuding with the white supremacist in the Oval Office. Kap started protesting police brutality and racial discrimination. That chaps Trump's hide since Trump hates blacks and other minorities and he uses the N word often in private. He hates protesters too. The NFL owners are scared of Trump doing damage to their league with his executive orders, and so they dare not sign Kap. Now that Trump has lost the election, he will no longer be able to threaten the NFL. However, Trump is a mad man and he is still president for 2 more months. Therefore NFL owners will not try to sign Kap until it is safe, meaning at least until after Trump is no longer president. So, Kap may get a chance to play next season because the regular season is over by Jan. 20, 2020.

Actually, my best guess is that Colin Kaepernick probably developed a poor work ethic toward the end of his time with the San Francisco 49ers. However, if Kaepernick rededicates himself to work hard and perform very well in practice every day, he will great improve his chances of getting signed to play for an NFL in the future.

Please stop with Kaepernick. Real world. If you are fired and you sued your employer for wrongful termination and you win and are awarded a multimillion dollar settlement, you ar6e not going to get your old job back. Say you used the union.
How much was Kaepernick awarded? Between 40 and 60 million? That would be to pay him what was approximated his career would cost. You would have to go to another company. The NFL is the only game in town. So he's through.
So what you are seeing is why the NFL lost the suit and why they had to pay him so much. Of course he's better. But they paid big money to black ball him. His career is over.

More likely they don't want a circus in the locker room...
Besides, none of us know how much he and/or agent are asking for.
Safe bet, it's not peanuts, like Winston signed for.

They don't want to sign him for the same reason they don't want to sign Jay Cutler..... both have been out of football for 3 years, both were about as effective as quarterbacks the last time they played....
If Cutler or Romo got an offer before Kaepernick, you might convince me that race plays an issue..... but the league has seen no shortage of players with more baggage than talent. Just because he has the Nike marketing guys on his side doesn't make Kap's story any more special....

He was not that great that having him will outweigh the disadvantages. He has not played for three years and who is to say he is even as good as he was? There are new quarterbacks coming out of college each year that would be less of a risk.
