Society puts pressure on men and women to look a certain way. But I think its worse for men. Depression effects more men than women and suicide is the eight leading cause of death in men. Women just have to look good. Men have to look good, have money, be responsible and provide for women.

Women  generally are far more concerned about their bodies than guys, except for the anomalies like me, it's a simple fact. In U.S. you very rarely see a woman on the beach w/o a bikini top on. Why, part of is obvious, it's kind of illegal. But if the women wanted to they would, law or no law, as such a large part of it is the simply fact that in most women's minds only perfect breasts should be viewed, and most women are simply to modest to consider theirs as remotely adequate. Why do you think that the going price for a topless model, a woman runs $100.00/hr, finding a girl with the right assets willing take her clothes off in font of a camera is a rarity. As for guys, I've seen 250 lb  guys on the beach shirtless many times and they couldn't care less.

Both. Not all women are insecure, there are some women who are very self confident and secure with themselves. It is also the same thing with men, some are insecure, some are not. Although confident men can be attractive, contrary to what people say, being confident does NOT always make *women* more attractive, if anything, many people (including men) tend to dislike most ugly women who are confident and enthusiastic (Cardi B).

Women are more insecure about their bodies and their looks.  Men are more insecure about their finances and status.  Women attract men with their beauty.  Men attract women by their wealth and status.
