Mice droppings ?

Question

Is ONE, yes, one dry one a threat. I cleaned an hoovered and sealed every hole, there are gaps big enough for a 2mm nail and no signs of clawing ie ripping the carpet. An old poo or mouse still around? I can't see shredding anywhere?

Probably not if you haven't seen anything else, but check around your house for any other signs of mice on a daily basis. It's possible that the dropping could've gotten stuck to something that was brought into your house (for example, your shoes or a package delivered to your house).

You forgot to consider #1.  Urine. It is not as evident as a mouse "crouton" as the restaurant business calls them

A rodent will relieve itself anywhere, and while it is eating.
