Are there any places to ski for free in Fort Collins, CO?

People usually only ski if they have a season pass or purchase a ticket for the day, but is there anywhere that is free?

Well, Fort Collins isn't in the mountains, so unless you go to a local sledding hill that has snow on it, there's no place to ski In Fort Collins at all. Eldora is probably the closest ski area to Fort Collins.

People do backcountry skiing which don't require a lift ticket, but that isn't something for a novice skier to try.  All ski resorts to sell daily ski passes, but you'd need to get a reservation in advance this year due to COIVD limiting the number of people.
