Every group except for one group would need to give up their values for that one group's values.

Tough one. Pete Buttigieg is working on it. Joe began, probably with Pete's advice, to reach out to Republicans.

Need to get divisive Trump out. Need to find the common values shared. I campaigned for Pete. We had core values:

Truth, Teamwork, Boldness, Discipline, Responsibility, Substance, Belonging, Excellence, Respect, Joy.

These are the opposite of Trump. They are both Democrat and Republican core values, even if lost by many.

We are not enemies. Step #1 is to get in the same ballpark/arena, even if cheering for different teams.

We cannot swing the pendulum. We need to nudge back to balance it.

Even with radicals around the outer ring, I have to believe we all want the same result and need to make government effective again, and show small results that please the vast majority.

Combining issues into a larger package and allowing everyone to see that the combined total is good, people will allow some things in it that aren't as pleasant to them personally.

For example, suppose there is a comprehensive immigration reform. All 12 +/- million must register or be quickly deported for failure to register, clear the immigration court backlog by administrative hearings with minimal appeals, quickly deport felons and serious offenders (2-3% is the estimate), end the catch and release and private prisons holding them, RESIDENCY(not citizenship) contingent on past and future good behavior, id's and full taxation, a DREAM act for minors brought in, tighten borders electronic and drone monitoring, stations to accept applications for refugees with full vetting and limits, highly limit all new entries, tighten heavily on employers with "under the table" employees. How close is this to a nod by 75+% of citizens as a package?

Well, we always did (there were differences of opinion on how to do things between Democrats and Republicans, but Americans always "agreed to disagree").  This last presidency was odd...  So I think things will get better in January.
