What is a TRULY unbiased source to get political news?
I am one of those people who doesn't consider himself a republican or a democrat. There is so much biased news and it's always so strongly one way or the other that I am at a point where I just don't know what to believe anymore. Does anyone have a truly unbiased source for political news? Something that states facts and not opinions? Thanks

There are three commonly used sources that rate media bias.

There are three types of bias. Reporting false information which is of course, the worst. There is use of words like thug and caravan, putting images in the mind. There is also choice of stories to promote a general direction of thinking.
The three sources above of ratings agents are pretty close for each news source, but some rate more of them, and the report method is different. If a source passes all three, it is consistent. Sometimes a source is only in one or two.
AP Associated Press, NPR news as National Public Radio, Reuters, The Hill, The Military Times, Indystar, are each very good about providing reliable, balanced reporting.
ABC TV out of New York is very good. Each affiliate carries some national and some station-owner influenced reports.

All news sources includes opinion pieces, the trick is to know the difference between reports from genuine reporters rather than political commentators.
The best way to know what is really going on is to get your news from multiple sources, that way when a story is being disputed by one side or the other you can see for yourself which provide facts to back up their stories.

As a journalist what I use is.....
AP wire (associated press 24-7).
Aljazerra World (although it has anti Israel bias).
BBC World News
The Guardian International.

TalkRadio is pretty good. Forget the BBC. They are a joke.

@ A.J. If you think NPR news is neutral then I question if the others you cite are neutral.. I went to adfontesmedia site and they have NYT, CNN, NPR, msnbc, etc as reliable so that's a worthless site...
