I favor Star Trek because it is more sicientific. Many of the things that were in early Star Trek movies have become real. Star Wars is more for children and those that don't care about plausibility,.

In my opinion, "Star Trek" is far superior to "Star Wars" that is a juvenile western transferred to space. It has the good guys in white and the bad guys in white and other marks of juvenile westerns. Both series have been run to death.

I've always preferred Star wars since I was a youngster but am disappointed in disneys efforts but still a Star wars fan.

Star Wars. 

Even though it's the basic good vs evil, at least it has some depth to it. Star Trek characters however are all either goodie two-shoes or baddies. There's no gray area, it's all black and white.
