The Bridge on the River Kwai is also first rate, but I actually don't like holden's part in it.

    "The Wild Bunch".

Holden got handsomer as he aged. The character of Pike was an anachronism, faced with keeping the gold or rescuing a compadre. Far deeper than the unwilling mercenary/ladies' man, the Col. Hogan-ish role in " River Kwai "  (Although BOTRK was Great,, Too.).
