What do you do on Animal Crossing ?

My son is trying to figure out Animal Crossing hes having a hard time figuring it out. What exactly do you do on it ?

It’s meant to be a relaxing game where you transform a deserted island into your own paradise. It’s kind of slow when you first start out, but the more things you unlock, the more addictive it gets. You’re supposed to start out catching bugs and fish to hand over to this guy Tom Nook to send to his buddy Blathers in order to build a museum. Once that happens, more things just happen one after another and it’s easier to catch on to what you do next. You pay off mortgages to get house upgrades, invite villagers to live on your island, collect items to decorate your island, build shops, buy clothes, etc. you’re basically just building a community. It’s a lot more fun than it sounds.
