Why are solar panels uncommon in Florida?

    Florida has LOW electricity COST compared to other states , which makes  INDIVIDUAL solar INVESTMENT  less  attractive . Florida ranks 9th nationally  in solar resource strength according to  National renewable energy laboratory  and 10th in solar generation by Solar Energy industry associates

    solar panels are ONLY economically doable in a part of southern California and a part of southern Nevada ...........

    they are popular in the modern, liberal areas. many use them to heat their pools in the winter, saving $1000's on their electric or gas bill.
