For those who do fish, I hope you're sympathetic enough to hit them on the head so they don't suffer. Watching them 'flopping around' struggling to breathe may be funny to you - but the fish is suffering.

Anon, you don't happen to live in Iowa do you?  I'm female too and it sucks to fish alone and I don't have a boat.

I'm female and used to love it. Me and my ex were addicted to it. He taught me all I needed to know. I even got a boat licence. But after we split up, I lost interest altogether and haven't fished since.
