    2 amps thru 90 Ω results in 180 volts at the junction V1

    Voltage across R2 is then 300 – 180 = 120 V and current is 120/30 = 4 Athat means current thru R3 is 4–2 = 2 amps and voltage across it is 20•2 = 40 voltsthat means V2 = 180–40 = 140 voltsVoltage across R is 300–140 = 160 vcurrent thru R4 = 140/30 = 4.667 amps

    current thru R = 4.667–2 = 2.667 amps

    voltage across R = 300 – 140 = 160 volts

    R = 160 / 2.667 = 50 Ω
