My 2 yr and 10 mo is covering his ears when there is no noise everybody was sleeping and it was quite in the room , what it could be ? ?

Yes he will be screened for CARS this saturday , please remember him in prayers i hope its not that super stressed out

Keep your eyes on the situation.  He may be reacting to something real or imagined or else has some other issue going on that hasn't yet been identified.  Why is a 2 year old up in the middle of the night anyway?   Take him to the pediatrician if this behavior continues.  EDIT:  Just read your other question. If you believe he is displaying symptoms of autism, why have you not mentioned this to his pediatrician yet?  It would be important to bring this up at his next visit.
