What will replace computers when they become obsolete?

Newer types of computer.

"Computer" is a concept as much as a specific thing.

From the early 1600s through to the 1960s it was a job title, a person whos work was to do complex calculations.

It was only when electronic computers became common that the word on its own stated to mean a machine and a person doing the work started to be called a Human computer.
