The Bible says that the committer of bestiality shall be killed, and the animal too. But does the animal get eaten or is the meat tarnished?

    Not very pro-life.

Why is the animal being killed. Why does that blood need to be spilled. It's blood magic atonement. This is rather like blaming a rape victim for their rape.

Before you say your nonsense to the Indian Jons, you must put in writing where it says in the sacred scripture that strange thing you said.

Then, I advise you not to drink a lot of draft beer, it makes you say crazy things, and, does it make your eyes fog up?  ^.^  @. Misty: did you win the Bronze Cup for your ridiculous atheist answers, without any sense? Get Dr. House to treat you!

The animal was not eaten. Yuck!

Emdog - being an unwilling participant has nothing to do with it. The animal has been defiled and needs to be sacrificed as a means of atonement for the perpetrator. Just as an adulter and adulteress must be put to death or two homosexual MEN not women however are stoned to death by dropping backwards from a tall height so that in one drop the person is brain dead or dead. If not a big stone is dropped on their head so too is the animal.

Since the animal becomes the person's soul mate, the soul is somewhat tied to whoever he or she has sexual relations with it, that bond can only be broken through the Torah's death penalty or death through repentance. The soul is tarnished and requires purification. The punishment is also to prevent this kind of sexual immorality.

It is the same with people. Until the homosexual dies with repentance he cannot be completely forgiven.

The animal provides atonement. Because a human becomes entwined with the animal, the animal must be purified and seperated because of the divine soul which is higher than it. Animals are actually watched over by angels - we see this with Balaam's donkey. When an animal sees Godliness it runs away! But a human who is like a beast bevomes confused with another beast and that animal thinks the human is like it. It is only because the animal cannot see the man or woman's divine soul that it can engage in sexual relations because the man is on a very low spiritual level.

They didn't really think these things through. I would imagine the beast is usually an unwillingly participant. Similar to blaming the rape victim for the crime

Bronze age superstition is meaningless in the real world.
