Is living in Los Angeles a lost cause?

Since most companies only pay half of what you need

to live on, wouldn't it be best to work from home, so

I can leave LA county? My heart doesn't belong here.

Even a small studio-apartment in my district,

costs $1,500/month. No one can afford to live

alone. Forget buying a home, or starting a family.

Am I right?

I like it, I’ve been here almost twenty years, but it’s not for everybody. Have you looked at other districts? My 1 bdrm in Noho is less than that, and I just moved in last year. I had better luck sifting through craigslist than any of the apartment sites that make the landlord pay. Which may be one of the downsides, cheap rents come with cheap landlords, but mine’s been okay so far.

On the other hand if you don’t mind commuting, there are lots of nice places outside the city. Or maybe it’s time to trade up on the job? I’m just saying you’ve got more options than it sometimes feels like. Best of luck to ya.

I thought you were serious the first time you asked. Guess you're just a troll.
