Surely it's obvious that religion is only a primitive machination by Man to command, suppress and exploit the vulnerable?
whereby only those who are weak in their consciousness succumb.
Religion has been around for many millennia, and taken many different forms but always with the same objectives.

That's a good description of religion and the believers. Any person with average intelligence should be able to discern that religion is a fraud--an invisible product composed of nothing.

It is not obvious at all. And, I am a Theologian, and pretty devout. I hear people talk about control, but, I have yet to see it at my church!

All religions are equally sublime to the ignorant, useful to the politician, and ridiculous to the philosopher. - Lucretius

No, what is obvious is that atheists are obviously oblivious to the obviously obvious, as explained below.
You believe that about 2000 years ago, some clever person wrote a book chocked full of miracles that never happened, performed by people who never existed and somehow with all that started a religion of people by the thousands willing to die rather than renounce their new leader? Huh? That would be like someone today taking the book “Harry Potter” adding a line like the following one to it, and starting a religion comparable to Christianity where people are willing to die rather than renounce Harry as their new leader.
“Therefore, Harry did many other miraculous feats in the presence of his friends and neighbors, which are not written in this book, but these are written, that you may believe that Harry is a real wizard, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name” (ref Jn 20:30-31).
You guys actually believe that’s possible when it is patently obviously impossible. Oh, and it gets better. Even if some chemist could create a multi-billion-atom DNA molecule in the lab, if he didn’t code it correctly, it would be totally useless (and yes, “create” is the appropriate word; ref Rom 1:19-20). The long molecule chain is similar to the old perforated paper tapes used to program computers. If those nucleotides are not placed in an exact precise order similar to the way the dots have to be in an exact precise order, there’s no way it can code for the production of the thousands of different proteins in an organism (see vids below). So, who wrote the code? Codes contain information and obviously don’t write themselves (as any SETI observer looking for one in the night sky will tell you), but amazingly that is exactly what athee-evos believe! It’s like they’ll believe anything.
Obviously the only logical explanations for the above examples is that the miracles in the Bible really did happen (proving it God’s word; Mk 16:20), and God wrote the fundamental code that governs all life on the planet. You guys need to come out of your fantasy world and live in reality with the rest of us. Enjoy the vids.
“... because that which is known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them. For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly [or obviously] seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse” (Rom 1:19-20).
