    mass = 449 N / 9.8 N/kg = 45.8 kg

    component of weight parallel to slope = 449 sin 31 = 231.3 N

    force down the slope = component of weight parallel to slope – friction

       F = 231.3 – 217 = 14.3 N

    a = F/m = 14.3/45.8 = 0.312 m/s²
